Who’s involved
Several of the people behind the Scottish People’s Meeting have strong Scottish and Danish connections. They contribute to the project on an entirely voluntary basis and are passionate about new ideas that can develop the level of political debate in Scotland.
Martijn Quinn is a senior European Commission official who is currently responsible for developing the EU’s “Green Diplomacy”. During 25 years at the European Commission he has worked in the private offices for the Danish, Greek and Bulgarian Commissioners as well as in the Commission departments for trade, enlargement, justice and environment.

Katrine Feldinger is the head of Scottish Government’s Office in the Nordics. The Office works extensively on assessing policy initiatives and ideas from the Nordics which could be successfully applied in Scotland, and is giving its backing to the People’s meeting as a concept to improve democratic engagement and discussion from grassroots up.

Fiona Ross is the head of community/international/volunteer engagement at the Danish democracy festival, Folkemødet. Fiona has a background of heavy involvement in Scottish youth politics and activism (Scottish Youth Parliament and Youth Ambassador for Scotland).

Cameron Stedman is a Scottish student studying at Glasgow University. Cameron is responsible for building the People’s Meeting website and accompanied the Scottish delegation to Folkemødet.
